Kam endlich auch dazu mir "Django unchained" anzuschauen.
Habe mich trotz der Länge des Films keine Sekunde gelangweilt. Interessant fand ich wie Tarantino Elemente der Nibelungensaga in die Geschichte einwebt. Waltz überzeugt als Kopfgeldjäger, auch Jamie Fox, DiCaprio und Sam Jackson begeistern. Ganz verstehen kann ich die Kontroversen die der Film ausgelöst hat nicht - ob es nun sogenannte "Mandingo"-Fights in "dieser Form" (was auch immer das heißt) gegeben hat oder nicht halt ich für nicht besonders relevant. Diese Candyland-Plantage war schon ein sehr surrealistischer Ort (Die Kostüme, die Farben, die Süßigkeiten), der mit Realismus auch nicht viel zu tun haben will.
Zu dem BBC Interview indem Tarantino sichtlich genervt auf die Fragen über die Auswirkungen von Gewaltdarstellungen reagiert hat, habe ich noch folgenden Link mit älteren Zitaten gefunden:

Von neuerer SF-Literatur à la Banks oder Vinge ganz zu schweigen - wenn sie so weitermachen wird Hollywood solchen Stoff nie und nimmer je verfilmen wollen.
